Sustaining Peace in Practice: Evidence, Measurement, and Indicators
Invitation Only
The Stanley Center, along with the International Peace Institute, will host a policy forum on “Sustaining Peace in Practice: Evidence, Measurement, and Indicators.” This forum will draw on case studies—that consider the practical elements of social and institutional structures, processes, and precursors that enable societies to develop in sustainably peaceful ways—to better understand what indicators and elements truly contribute to long-term peace. Such indicators could help the international community identify and analyze what is working to strengthen resilience in societies and provide the tools for better understanding what is needed to sustain long-term peace in country-specific contexts.
