Peace in Our Cities Symposium and Member Workshop: Innovations in Urban-Violence Reduction

Peace in Our Cities (PiOC) will host a symposium and workshop on innovations in urban-violence reduction and prevention June 19–23, 2023, in Medellín and Palmira, Colombia. The symposium and member workshop will focus on understanding how, from the examples of Medellín, Palmira, and PiOC members, concerted ecosystems have contributed to reductions in violence and identifying the lessons in prevention that may be applicable across contexts. The sessions build on our ongoing work with cities to amplify knowledge and resources to attain ambitious violence-reduction goals and strengthen a community of committed urban-violence-reduction leaders and experts.
