New Ground to Step Up on the Path to 1.5°C
Invitation Only
The purpose of this policy salon dinner is to plot concrete steps in the 2019–2020 period for how the international climate policy community can close the gap to 1.5° C. Participants will share strategies and determine opportunities for three questions relating to emerging areas of policy development.
- What new leadership and political configurations are needed for climate action to close the gap to 1.5° C?
- How do we develop agendas with other policy settings?
- As we get further away from 2015, what is next after the Paris Agreement? How can the UNFCCC process and international climate policy provide a stronger enabling environment to further accelerate action?
This year will be a culmination of a great deal of work since the Paris Agreement. Building on this momentum, we will plan the next step of policy interventions.
