Making Atrocity Prevention Effective
Invitation Only
The Stanley Center, the United Nations Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect, and the Columbia Global Policy Initiative are co-organizing a half-day conference at Columbia University on the results from a two-phase research project reviewing lessons learned in atrocity prevention in eight different country case studies. This conference will discuss the case study research with representatives of the atrocity prevention and peace-building communities and disseminate hypotheses and knowledge thus far on how to make atrocity prevention more effective. Speakers will include authors of the case studies as well as subject matter experts independent of the research study.
