Genocide and Mass Atrocity Prevention and Protection of Groups in Vulnerable Situations
Invitation Only
This conference will start with an introduction to the concepts of genocide and mass atrocity and to the processes by which they occur. These concepts will provide the foundation for analysis of migration from a prevention perspective, including a special focus on the connection between human mobility and atrocity crimes, as well as the risk factors related to these crimes and migratory groups in vulnerable situations. Additionally, the seminar will study the different Latin American countries’ approaches to the protection of communities of migrants and forcibly displaced persons.
