The Responsibility to Protect in the Americas
Learn MoreThe Stanley Center, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, will convene a panel discussion on “The Responsibility to Protect in the Americas.”
States affirmed their responsibility to employ all possible means to protect their own and others’ citizens from war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide under the principle of the Responsibility to Protect (R2P). Is it time to renew the discussion on the principle and application of R2P in the Americas?
While the panel discussion is invitation-only, it will be livestreamed for the public on March 21, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. EDT (14:00 GMT).
