Interactive Discussion with the United Nations Special Adviser for the Responsibility to Protect on Challenges in Latin America

Together with the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities and La Coordinadora Regional de Investigaciones Económicas y Sociales (CRIES), the Stanley Center convenes an interactive dialogue with the UN Special Advisor on the Responsibility to Protect, members of the Latin American and Caribbean Forum of Civil Society for the Prevention of Mass Atrocities, and the Latin America Network for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities.
The Special Advisor, Dr. Karen Smith, shares key points from the UN Secretary General’s 2020 Report on the Responsibility to Protect and highlights key challenges and opportunities for R2P within Latin America.
