A Just Energy Transition for a Peaceful World: Bringing Together Climate Efforts and Pro-Diplomacy Groups
Invitation Only; Registration Required
In order for threats to and opportunities from energy transition to take center stage in policy discussion, we will need to break down silos and improve collaboration between the climate and foreign policy communities. To jumpstart that process, we propose a convening for members of both communities who share a commitment to meaningful climate action and an interest in how a just and equitable energy transition could improve lives and ecosystems around the world.
The goals of this workshop include:
- Develop relationships between advocacy and activist movements from the climate and pro-diplomacy fields that can raise the mutual stakes of their work and improve collaboration.
- Identify common issues and advocacy goals between the climate and pro-diplomacy movements.
- Formulate possible spaces, frameworks, and capacity that can strengthen both climate and peace advocacy and activism.
