Lori Zook-Stanley

Chair

Lori Zook-Stanley is Chair of the Stanley Center for Peace and Security’s Board of Directors. She received her bachelor’s degree at Goshen College with an interdisciplinary major in history, political science, and biology, and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Minnesota. Zook-Stanley is a psychotherapist specializing in trauma and healing. Lay ordained in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, she facilitates groups in mindfulness, meditation, antiracism, and climate justice. Born in South Korea, where her parents worked at a school for boys after the Korean War, Zook-Stanley grew up in Goshen, Indiana before settling in the Minneapolis area. She is the granddaughter-in-law of the late Max and Betty Stanley.
