Krista Regennitter

Global Education

Krista Regennitter is program officer for global education at the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, where she works to promote greater understanding and application of global education, global education standards, and global citizenship in the center’s hometown of Muscatine, Iowa, and nearby. Regennitter has more than 15 years of experience in youth development and community partnerships, including service as director of Muscatine County Extension and Outreach and as program director of Big Brothers Big Sisters at the Muscatine Community YMCA. She was part of the team that received the 2019 National Extension Diversity Award from the US Department of Agriculture’s Institute of Food and Agriculture, Cooperative Extension, and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. Regennitter has a master’s in community development from Iowa State University. She has a certificate in nonprofit management from the Iowa State University Extension and received her BS in environmental studies from Portland State University.
