Benjamin Loehrke is senior program officer for nuclear weapons at the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, where he designs, organizes, and implements all aspects of the center’s work to halt the spread and avoid the use of nuclear weapons. Loehrke’s areas of expertise include arms control, nonproliferation, nuclear weapons strategy, Iran’s nuclear program, and defense budgeting. Before joining the Stanley Center, Loehrke worked at the Ploughshares Fund, an international security foundation, where he designed advocacy strategy and coordinated networks of experts working to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and reduce the size of global nuclear arsenals. Loehrke has an MPP from the University of Maryland and a BA in political science from Indiana University.
