Scoping an International Network of Renewable Energy Champions
Invitation Only
Over 60 countries are already calling for global renewables targets to be part of the outcome of COP28. Tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030, to 11 Terawatts, is one of the most important components in putting the world on track to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Despite progress in many countries over the past decade, renewable energies as the key response to the current energy and security crisis is not being sufficiently picked up in international venues, and gaps remain as to how a global target can be implemented and supported at national level. Participants will gather for a closed, strategic discussion around the need for an International Network of Renewable Energy Champions — and how it could best be designed.
