Salon Dinner on Oral History and Risk Reduction

Invitation Only

The mission of recording and archiving oral histories from the risk reduction field faces new challenges and grows more urgent. Several historians and organizations in the field are deeply committed to this mission. New entrants, dinner hosts included, are lending energy to this cause. Our projects are unique but share similar goals of preserving and transferring knowledge of risk reduction in practice. This dinner aims to create opportunities for individuals and organizations working on oral history projects to connect, update each other on our work, share best practices, and identify needs. The goal is to catalyze a conversation among colleagues so that we can be resources for each other and advance oral history work in the field of risk reduction.
