Miranda Johnson

Director of People and Culture

Miranda Johnson is the Director of People and Culture at the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, where she works to develop, implement, and lead all aspects of human resources (HR) and organizational culture initiatives and strategy. She collaborates with other members of the leadership team to ensure HR policies and programs align with and support the Stanley Center’s mission and goals. Johnson came to the Stanley Center with 13 years of HR experience in various industries in the private and non-profit sectors. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and a People Manager qualification from the Society for Human Resource Management.

As an HR professional, Johnson sees value in thinking outside of the box, coming up with new and innovative solutions, and continuous improvement in creating an authentic, people-centric culture. An experience that contributed to her values was volunteering as an AmeriCorps member working to rebuild a Texas state park after wildfires devastated the area. She loves to dive into new experiences (especially food), be outside, push for positive change, learn continuously, build personal resilience, and form meaningful connections with people.
