Dane Lovell is facilities maintenance superintendent at the Stanley Center for Peace and Security. In his role, Lovell supports the physical property and equipment of center facilities, including, when complete, the center’s living building—one of the most ecologically-sustainable and environmentally-friendly buildings in the world.
Lovell is a licensed master plumber in the state of Iowa and has owned his own plumbing business for more than 20 years. He has also served as maintenance director and maintenance technician for the West Liberty and Iowa City Community School Districts. Lovell finds inspiration in the vocational training possibilities for young people created by the Stanley Center’s future home. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and volunteering for youth sports organizations. Lovell holds an associate of arts degree from Muscatine Community College.
