Dane Lovell is facilities maintenance superintendent at the Stanley Center for Peace and Security. In his role, Lovell maintains the physical property and equipment and leads tours of the center’s living building—one of the most ecologically-sustainable and environmentally-friendly buildings in the world.
Lovell is a licensed master plumber in the state of Iowa and owned his own plumbing business for more than 25 years. He served as maintenance director and maintenance technician for the West Liberty and Iowa City Community School Districts. Lovell finds inspiration in the vocational training possibilities for young people created by the Stanley Center’s home. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and volunteering for his children’s activities.
Lovell holds an associate of arts degree from Muscatine Community College and has his Living Future Accreditation through the International Living Future Institute. He also serves on the institute’s Water Technical Advisory Group.
