Asia-Pacific Roundtable on Energy Transition & Coal Phase-Out

Hosted by Solutions for Our Climate and the Stanley Center in partnership with the South Chungcheong Provincial Government, British Embassy Seoul, and the Growald Family Fund, this roundtable will provide an avenue ahead of the 2019 International Conference on Coal Phase-out & Climate Action in Chungnam and COP25 for working-level dialogue and network building in the Asia-Pacific region to discuss challenges and opportunities in energy transition and phase-out of coal power. The event will include participants from national and subnational governments, international organizations, expert NGOs, and financial institutions. The discussion will explore ways for subnational actors to plan their coal-to-clean transitions, air pollution and health consequences of coal power, and opportunities for international and regional collaboration.
