Cassie Mathias is the director of finance for the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, where she oversees all aspects of the center’s finances, including financial statements, annual audit, budget, retirement plan administration, insurance, and benefits. Mathias has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance and has held positions in public accounting, manufacturing, and municipal utilities. She most recently worked for Muscatine Power and Water, where she was responsible for budgeting and forecasting, monthly financial statements and the annual audit report, financial analysis, and management of the Accounting Department. Mathias is a certified public accountant and serves with several nonprofit organizations focused on animal-related issues. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a chartered global management accountant. Mathias has an MBA and a BBA in accounting from the University of Iowa.
