Next Generation Nuclear Security: Measuring Progress & Charting the Way Forward
DownloadTo mark the one-year anniversary of the 2010 Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, DC, the Fissile Materials Working Group, of which the Stanley Center is a member, gathered nearly 100 participants to review global progress on nuclear security in the year since. Panelists and participants discussed progress on meeting the commitments made at the 2010 summit, Eurasian regional nuclear security efforts, education and training in nuclear security, and the role the International Atomic Energy Agency is playing in advancing nuclear security.
Those attending the April 13 event, held in partnership with the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, included nongovernmental experts, academics, government officials, and representatives of intergovernmental organizations from 30 countries.
