Planning Meeting: Next Steps after Alliances and Coalitions Global Forum
Invitation Only
This meeting is convened by Galvanizing the Groundswell of Climate Actions and is organized in collaboration with the Stanley Center, the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), WWF, and NRDC.
Participants will gather in this small and informal meeting to strategically coordinate next steps at the close of the 1st Alliances and Coalitions Global Forum in Rabat.
The objective of the meeting is to share and quickly capture the key findings and next steps for the Action Agenda that were garnered across the preparatory meetings on 22 June and the conference proceedings from 23–24 June. The meeting organizers propose a discussion on the following three themes: 1) criteria or characteristics that an initiative should feature for the Action Agenda, COP High-level Event, and NAZCA; 2) institutional arrangements for the Action Agenda; 3) efforts to track the delivery of pledges from non-Party stakeholders and initiatives.
