FMWG Policy Development Groups Meeting
Invitation Only
The Fissile Materials Working Group (FMWG) has played an important role in the effort to strengthen global nuclear security by amplifying the voices of its more than 70 organizational members in 32 countries. During the three Nuclear Security Summits (NSS), the FMWG has organized or participated in the organization of three side events to the official NSS.
With the last NSS set to take place in 2016, the FMWG Steering Committee has approved the concept of creating policy development working groups that would inject bold and innovative ideas into the NSS process. This meeting is an opportunity for the three groups to discuss their ideas and brainstorm recommendations.
