Engaging the Private Sector in Building Nuclear Security in the Global South

Invitation Only

This roundtable, co-organized by the Stimson Center and the Stanley Center, will examine private sector leverage in facilitating effective and sustainable progress on nuclear and cyber security through the insurance and risk management industry.

The discussion will seek to identify market-based incentives that promote both enhanced security and best practices across the nuclear industry. It will draw upon successful examples in parallel industry sectors with the objective of developing lessons learned and applying those in support of nuclear security. It will also assess ways in which the private sector could facilitate efforts to improve international nuclear security governance.
