A Global Platform to Aggregate and Catalyze Climate Actions

Invitation Only

A Global Platform to Aggregate and Catalyze Climate Actions workshop organized by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the Stanley Center, and the University of Oxford Blavatnik School of Government at the United Nations Foundation New York, New York.  Space is limited.

How can we maintain the momentum of the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Summit on the path to Paris?  What role can a global platform play in aggregating and catalyzing climate actions from all sectors of society?  The workshop will update participants on efforts to develop a global platform for climate actions by cities, corporations, regions, and other sub- and non-state actors, building on existing efforts.  Participants will discuss how a platform might best capture and enhance the groundswell of climate action in the lead-up to Lima and for Paris.  Presentations on the proposed design of a platform and on a database of climate action by sub/nonstate actors will give participants an opportunity to help shape the substance and structure of the platform.
